This illustration style nostalgically reminds of me of childhood books.

In this age of heightened responsibilities and new sudden unknown fears, when I keep thinking my mother is done with being a parent even while I am not done being a child, I often like to recede and regress back into the childhood none of us ever had, where everything was as simple and beautiful as these drawings.

These are tarot cards. Maybe an old dog by his shed, a castle waiting above the trees, a love so innocent, and an old book waiting quietly on a table can tell me my fate.

These are images from a simpler, kinder, wiser, wilder, more magical time.

He made geeky glasses amazing.

It still isn't "cool" to listen to him.

Someday I want to make stencils like this.

He made happy, sweet, innocent, romantic music.

He invented a whole new sound.

He was white and rockin' without being anything like Elvis.

His sense of humor showed in his voice.

Alan Freed called him "Ol' Buddy."

He had a charming Texas accent.

He talks about "loafin' and runnin' around."

He had the cutest laugh ever.

Went out west with N + T + CRISPIN. Went to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and Staples and CVS and Target.

Had awful gas pressure in my stomach. Pain, nausea. Gross. Took Gas-X, and it went away, after a while.

Got this this top at Target:
Love it.

Spent the afternoon under blankets with T, drinking cocoa and watching like 5 episodes of CSI.

Read some of On the Road and felt INCREDIBLY lethargic and weighed-down after 3 weeks of rain.

Hung out with the fam a little before bed.
